On April 25, Jiang Lin, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Northwest University (NWU), led a delegation to Shaanxi History Museum to explore collaboration opportunities and boost graduate employment. The delegation included representatives from NWU’s Career and Entrepreneurship Center, School of Cultural Heritage, and An-Lai School.

During the symposium, Pang Yani, Director of Shaanxi History Museum, welcomed the delegation. She provided an overview of the museum’s history and exhibitions, reviewed the long-standing partnership with NWU, and highlighted achievements in comprehensive collaboration. Discussions focused on talent recruitment, scientific research, student internships, and staff training programs. Director Pang extended an invitation to outstanding archaeology students to join the museum.

Jiang Lin expressed gratitude on behalf of NWU for Shaanxi History Museum’s longstanding support and attention to the development of NWU’s Archaeology Department. He emphasized that both NWU and Shaanxi History Museum are rooted in Shaanxi—a province rich in cultural relics—and have made significant contributions to the conservation and transmission of cultural heritage. Building upon their profound historical ties and natural basis for collaboration, Jiang noted that the two institutions have maintained close cooperation across multiple fields and at various levels over the years. He expressed hope that leveraging their respective resources and platforms, they could further deepen collaboration in archaeology, cultural heritage management, and cultural relics conservation technology. This enhanced partnership will jointly advance the high-quality development of cultural heritage and museum sectors in Shaanxi and nationwide.

Representatives from the Career and Entrepreneurship Center, School of Cultural Heritage, and An-Lai School introduced their talent cultivation initiatives and graduate profiles. The two sides exchanged views on student internships, career guidance, joint research, and collaborative training programs.

Prior to the symposium, the delegation visited the Key Scientific Research Base of the National Administration of Cultural Heritage for the Conservation and Restoration of Murals and Material Science Studies at Shaanxi History Museum.
