To further advance the cultivation of talents in cultural heritage conservation and restoration and to deepen collaboration between museums and universities, on October 27, YANG Lu, Dean of the NWU-Salento School of Cultural Heritage and Arts, led a delegation to the Shaanxi History Museum for an enterprise visit and employment expansion program, as well as an exchange meeting.
Participants included LU Zhiyong, Deputy Director of the Shaanxi History Museum; WANG Jia, Director of the Conservation and Restoration Department; and QIAN Xijuan, Director of the Human Resources Department. From the School, LIU Yuan, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Committee (Directly Affiliated); DOU Haifeng, Deputy Dean; LING Xue, Course Leader (Chinese side); and WANG Jinghan, Academic Secretary, attended the event.
During the meeting, Dean YANG Lu expressed sincere appreciation to the Shaanxi History Museum for its long-term support of the School. She introduced the School’s development history, current academic management, talent training model, and internship programs. YANG emphasized that the School attaches great importance to fostering students’ international perspectives, interdisciplinary innovation abilities, and practical competence. She hoped to further strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration and museum-school cooperation, inviting more industry experts to engage deeply in the School’s talent cultivation process.
Deputy Director LU Zhiyong extended a warm welcome to the visiting delegation and recalled the profound historical ties and solid foundation of cooperation between Shaanxi History Museum and Northwest University. He sincerely invited the School’s faculty and students to carry out professional internships and practical training at the museum and expressed the museum’s willingness to actively support the School’s teaching activities.
In the discussion, participants conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as student internships and training programs, joint supervision of graduation theses, and inviting experienced museum experts to give lectures at the School. Consensus was reached on multiple aspects of future cooperation.
