Teaching Activities | An-Lai School Successfully Holds the Mobilization Meeting for the 2022 Cohort’s Comprehensive Professional Internship

On the morning of September 2, the mobilization meeting for the 2022 cohort’s comprehensive professional internship of the An-Lai School was successfully held at the Multifunctional Hall 830. The meeting aimed to provide guidance and motivation for students about to begin their upcoming internship. Attendees included WANG Baohong, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of An-Lai School; WEN Rui, Dean of An-Lai School; Deputy Deans WANG Jiangpeng and WANG Guodong; LIN Xue, Coordinator of NWU Courses; internship supervisors LIU Yan and GUO Lang; as well as staff members from the Office of General Affairs and the Office of Teaching Affairs, and all students of the 2022 cohort. The meeting was chaired by YANG Lu, Deputy Dean of An-Lai School.



At the meeting, Dean WEN Rui first introduced the overall requirements for the internship. He emphasized the importance of internships in enhancing students’ professional competence and preparing them for their future careers. He encouraged students to engage proactively in their practice, to apply what they have learned, and to make the transition from learners to professionals. He also reminded students to strictly follow the guidance of their supervising teachers and the regulations of their internship institutions. In the field of cultural heritage conservation, he stressed, discipline, professionalism, and a rigorous attitude toward both equipment and work are essential.


Professor LIN Xue, Coordinator of NWU Courses, then gave a detailed explanation of the internship arrangements and content, offering students clear guidance on their tasks ahead. Internship supervisors Professor LIU Yan and Lecturer GUO Lang also delivered speeches, sharing their experiences and providing insightful advice on overcoming challenges that students might encounter during the internship. Student representatives JI Yanling from the Cultural Heritage Conservation program and AI Xin from the Fine Arts program shared their expectations for the internship. They expressed their determination to cherish this valuable opportunity, to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world conservation and restoration work, and to further enhance their professional abilities.



In conclusion, WANG Baohong, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of the School, delivered the closing remarks. He emphasized once again the significance of the internship and expressed his earnest hopes for the students. He encouraged them to remain humble and diligent, to learn actively, to maintain integrity and respect for rules, and to strive to become outstanding professionals in their field, laying a solid foundation for their future development.


The successful convening of this mobilization meeting provided strong guidance and support for the 2022 cohort as they embark on their comprehensive professional internship. It is believed that through hands-on experience, students will continue to grow, gain valuable insights, and accumulate practical experience for their future careers.
